Reports To: Fund Development/Volunteer/Office Co-Ordinator and/or Special Events Chair
Time Commitment: Flexible based on individual events. This is an as-needed position. The amount of time dedicated by the volunteer to this position is at the discretion of the volunteer
SUMMARY: The events committee of St. Thomas-Elgin Second Stage Housing organizes various fundraising special events requiring special events volunteers to assist in the planning, orgainzation and/or implementation of these events
DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
1. Greeting the public attending the event
2. Selling tickets prior to and during the event if needed
3. Assisting with the set-up of the room/area before the event
4. Serving food, beverages as needed
5. Assisting in the clean-up of food/beverages
6. Assisting with the clean-up of the room/area after the event
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Good communication/interpersonal skills
2. Enjoy working with the public or organizing behind the scene
3. Enjoy working with a team
4. Enthusiastic about the fundraising needs of the agency
5. Ability to work flexible hours
6. Responsible and reliable
7. Adherence to strict confidentiality
TRAINING, ORIENTATION & SUPPORT:
1. Attend a general orientation
2. On-the-job training by fund development co-ordinator, volunteers
