Reports To: Volunteer Co-Ordinator/Maintenance Worker may provide direct supervision
Time Commitment: Flexible based on the needs of the agency. This is an as-needed position. The amount of time dedicated by the volunteer to this position is at the discretion of the volunteer
SUMMARY: When women vacate thris apartment the apartment may require additional cleaning, and/or painting, and/or minor repairs. The Maintenance Volunteer may identify particular area(s) or interest and his/her name will be added to the volunteer call list
DUTIES:
1. Clean up apartments following a move-out, this could include steam cleaning carpets, cleaning stoves, refrigerators and cupboards
2. And/or prepare and paint walls
3. And/or complete minor repairs
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Enthusiastic about the needs of the agency
2. General knowledge/experience of cleaning, painting and/or repairs
3. Enjoy working with a team or independently
4. Ability to work flexible hours
5. Responsible and reliable
6. Adherence to strict confidentiality
TRAINING, ORIENTATION & SUPPORT:
1. Attend a general orientation
2. On-the-job training by maintence personnel, volunteers
